It’s not often chipset makers are the ones hyping an upcoming device, but for CES 2015, Qualcomm is doing just that. Posted on Twitter earlier today, Qualcomm is teasing what appears to be some kind of new smartphone for a CES unveiling.
Although the specific manufacturer was left out of the teaser, they mentioned it will be “Snapdragon 800 powered” (likely in reference to the 800 series which covers 800-810), as well as the appearance of very pronounced rear buttons, a clue it could be some type of LG device. ASUS is also a possibility, but the buttons look like cross between the LG G3’s texture with aluminum power button, and the LG G Flex’s more square shape.
Although nothing has been confirmed just yet, we wouldn’t be a bit surprised to find this device is the upcoming LG G Flex 2. We wont have to wait much longer to find out, CES kicks off in Las Vegas on January 6th, 2015.
