Google Maps’ lane guidance has proven to be a great feature for the few folks who can use it. Why keep track of where you need to merge when Google Maps can do it for you, right? Fortunately it’s headed to a lot more countries today.
These 15 European countries will be receiving the feature:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Bulgaria
- Czech Republic
- Denmark
- Finland
- Greece
- Hungary
- Liechtenstein
- Luxembourg
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Portugal
- Sweden
- Switzerland
With the US, UK, Japan, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Ireland and Germany, that makes for a pretty sizable list. The update should be headed to your phones and tablets in no time so stay on the lookout and, most importantly, stay safe on the road.

here maps is the future
I have been using Apple Maps for over 8 months now. It’s much more reliable than Google Maps. Last time I used Google Maps it was to take me to the BestBuy store near my home. Instead of taking directly it made me take a detour in the east and than come straight back. I don’t get it, there was no traffic, road works on the direct route. Apple Maps did manage to find the shortest and fastest route.
Will even the simply turn by turn navigation be available in Turkey?
