Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users have noticed missing Quick Toggles following recent updates. Namely, the “Mobile Data,” “Private Mode,” and “Mobile Hotspot” toggles were nowhere to be found, with users not able to add them back by simply heading to settings.
Thankfully Samsung has issued a quick fix in the form of an app sitting on the Samsung Apps Store. It’s called QuickPanel Restore, and upon download there’s a simple one button operation to get all those toggles back.
Click on the big blue “restore” button, and voila — your toggles are back. We’re not sure why or how they were removed in the first place, but it’s nice to know we won’t have to wait for lengthy OTA processes to get it fixed. Be sure to download the app on your Galaxy S6 device ASAP if you’ve been affected by the bug.
Does anyone know if this effects root?
Are you asking if the missing quick toggles affects root users? Or if this tool (negatively) affects phones that are rooted? I would say yes to the former and no to the latter.
Will this ‘fix’ take away root?
What about the s4? Id love to get the data toggle back instead of having to go into settings to switch it on and off
Or you could simply install the amazing “notification toggle”, which has loads more options and functionality.
Guys… I searched for Quick panel restore and cant find anything from samsung or even close to it at Play store… can you post a link here, Thanks
Sorry, just found in the Galaxy App store… thanks for the hint…
