Sony has revealed (seemingly by accident, as they have since fixed the mistake) that Verizon’s Sony Xperia Z4v will launch August 13th. The device, if you don’t remember, is a souped of version of the Sony Xperia Z4.
It mostly features the same specs as the Z3+, notably in its 5.2-inch display, 20.7MP Exmor RS camera, 5MP front camera, Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with microSD. The difference comes in resolution (2560 x 1440) and a bigger 3,000mAh battry with wireless charging. Certainly a lot more deserving of the “Z4” name than Sony’s original minimal upgrade was, we’d say.
Unfortunately that’s all we know about this Verizon launch. No price details have been revealed, though we’d imagine standard flagship numbers of around $200 on-contract or $600-$650 outright. Anyone looking to pick one up next month?
