Pebble Time Steel will begin shipping to backers by end of July

Pebble’s all new color smartwatch for 2015, the Pebble Time, has already begun shipping to backers (we received ours and love it) and more recently, became available for pre-order. With that, the folks at Pebble have began shifting focus to the Pebble Time Steel, the metal clad and more expensive version of the smartwatch.

The Pebble Time’s Kickstarter page was recently updated, letting Time Steel backers know that production is planned for this week, with shipping set to begin at the end of the month. Of course, shipping these units will take some time, but Pebble says you can expect to at the very least, receive a shipping tracking number by the end of August at the latest. They also mentioned that because of the limited availability, expect separate shipping for the metal band which may not arrive together with the Time Steel (don’t worry, it will still include the leather band).

Don’t worry if you didn’t pick the metal band option. According to Pebble, once the Time Steel officially becomes available for everyone, the metal bands will be sold separately so you’ll have another chance then.
