As if yesterday’s Motorola Moto G (2015) leaks weren’t enough — the phone popping up on Moto Maker and exposed in a leaked promo video — it’s now getting the hands-on treatment courtesy of the boys at LaptopMedia. We wont ask how they got the phone early, but it’s clear that from the whole “Motorola Confidential Property” label on the front that someone is getting fired. Still, it’s our clearest look at a working model of the phone yet (we did show you some nice photos of a dummy unit earlier this week).
Aside from all that, the site was able to confirm many of the specs we’ve been hearing for so long. The biggest surprise is that it wont have a 1080p full HD display, instead opting for a lower-res 720p display like previous iterations. Can’t make it too high end now, can they? The phone does include a micro SD card slot, as well as two storage configurations: 8GB or 16GB. Although the leakers only mentioned 1GB of RAM, we know there’s a 2GB RAM version and expect it will only arrive on the 16GB model.
Also on board are 13MP/5MP cameras, 2,470mAh battery — all running on Android 5.1 Lollipop. With the Motorola making followups to the Moto G, X, and possibly even Moto 360 official on Tuesday, at this point we’re just waiting to get our own hands on it.
