Motorola is continuing to prove that people will flock for an affordable smartphone if it packs enough of a punch to do whatever you want with it. The 16GB 2015 Moto G (3rd Gen) has been sold out on Moto Maker.
If you don’t remember, this version of the Moto G has not just double the storage of the 8GB version, but also double the RAM with a full 2GB for $40 more. Unfortunately Motorola’s website only shows “delayed shipping” so we’re not yet sure how long they’ll be on backorder.
For what it’s worth, it’s possible we’ll see more stock of the thing turning up at retailers, but you probably won’t be able to get it customized like you could if you got it directly through Motorola. And you’re always free to snag the 8GB entry-level model for $179, but if you just have to have that increased storage and RAM then you’re going to have to have a good bit of patience.
