Microsoft has been making a big push into bringing their apps and services to rival platforms like Android. We love it. For those looking to branch away from Google’s services, Microsoft has much of their bases covered. Today they announced another: Microsoft Translator.
The app officially hit the Play Store running and like most of Android’s better apps, even features full Android Wear support right out of the box. Once installed on your Android device, Microsoft Translator will be accessible on your Android Wear smartwatch where you can speak into it and receive translations in 50 languages. You can even “pin” your most commonly used phrases for later usage, while also being able to browse your translation history. The UI is clean, simple, and straightforward, meaning whether you’re an Android newbie or a power user, you wont get lost.
Since, it’s free, we think it’s definitely worth checking out. While Android Wear support is a nice perk, it’s not really that useful unless you’re someplace where taking out your phone isn’t ideal. If Android Smartwatches ever add speakers, it can only further increase it’s utility. Get Microsoft Translator right now on the Google Play Store.
