Europe won’t be getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 5

In a strange turn of events, Samsung is apparently skipping out on Europe for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The news comes from several European publications who have heard from Samsung that the handset, which was officially announced yesterday, would not be making its way to the region.

It’s an odd course considering Samsung’s big marketing push for the Samsung Galaxy Note line started in Europe. The original device was launched at IFA in Berlin, after all, and it’s been a staple ever since.

There’s nothing suggesting the move was influenced by sales or trends, with Samsung only willing to say that their efforts will be squarely in pushing the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Sadly, importing may be the only option for those of you who don’t live in North America, Asia or other markets where Samsung is planning to sell this thing. Do you care? Perhaps we can help you decide whether you’re missing out on anything.
