Back before the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was ever made official — or even rumored — we successfully guessed that Samsung would launch an Active variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6. But we only came to this conclusion because the Active line had a long tradition spanning all the way back to the Galaxy S4 (okay, maybe not that long). The Galaxy Note series — well, that’s an entirely different story.
Perhaps that’s why we were so intrigued by this latest rumor out of PhoneArena who, after receiving a tip, believes Samsung is planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active, complete with water resistance and all the ruggedness you’d expect from the Active line. The best part is, similar to like we saw with the S6 Active which got a pretty sizable battery boost, the Galaxy Note 5 Active will feature a massive 4,100mAh battery. As for the rest of the specs, expect largely the same as the current Note 5 (sorry, micro SD card lovers).
As for a release date, we might see the Note 5 Active launch somewhere around November 8th. Of course, like previous Actives before it, this will be an AT&T exclusive. We’ll let you know if we hear anything else.
