We’ve seen pictures already. We’ve heard pitter patters of a September 29th launch date. For those eager to jump onboard the LG Nexus train, the cleanest picture yet has arrived at Leak Station:
The photo comes courtesy of AndroidPit and it’s authenticity has been confirmed by AndroidPolice, giving us little reason to doubt that this is exactly what we’ll see later this month when Google unveils this year’s Nexus devices, ushering in the age of Android Marshmallow.
On the rear you’re looking at a camera of unknown megapixel quantity, dual LED-flash, laser auto-focus module, and the white circle below the camera hardware is a fingerprint scanner.
One omission from previous leaks is an LG logo at the bottom of the phone, displayed perpendicular to the “Nexus” text. No word on whether or not that will remain when the product hits shelves.
Rumored LG Nexus specs include:
- 5.2-inch 2K display
- 13MP camera
- Fingerprint scanner
- Snapdragon 808
- 64-bit hexa-core processor – Adreno 418
- 3GB RAM
- LTE Cat 9 with support for 450Mbps speeds
The LG Nexus is rumored to be launching alongside the Huawei Nexus, making it the first time Google releases two Nexus smartphones in one year.
