Amazon today officially introduced a ton of new Fire products. One of those products is the Amazon Fire Tablet, a 7-inch entry-level tablet that can be yours for just $50. That amount of money will get you an Amazon-bred tablet with the following specs:
- 7-inch 1024 x 600 display
- 1.3GHz quad-core chipset
- 8GB of storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD)
- VGA front camera, 2 megapixel rear camera w/ 720p video recording
- WiFi N
- 191 x 115 x 10.6 mm, 313 g
- Fire OS 5 Bellini
Doesn’t sound terribly juicy on paper, but considering it’s $50 you can’t expect the world. And with Amazon, it’s more about getting unadulterated access to their vast ecosystem of books, music, movies, TV shows, and apps over having a sheer powerhouse of a device.
