You’ve read our review, and done all the tips and tricks, now it’s time to get some accessories for your Samsung Galaxy Note 5. There’s a plethora of great cases, chargers, skins, Bluetooth speakers, and more to choose from. In an attempt to help you find the best accessories for your Note 5, we’ve tried and researched a bunch of products. Here are some of the best accessories you can get for your Note 5.
The AceAbove Wallet Kickstand case is one of the most unique cases we’ve seen. Wallet cases and cases with kickstands are pretty common, but this case combines the two in a cool way. Instead of having a flap that covers the displays, this case holds your cards on the back. The same flap on the back can be used to prop up the phone. [Amazon]
Caseology’s Wavelength series of cases use a dual-layer protection system. Soft TPU and a hard plastic work together to provide impact resistance, grip, and rigidity. The case comes in four colors: navy blue/gold, mint/silver, pink/gold, and black/gunmetal. [Amazon]
This is a very thin and lightweight semi-transparent case made from flexible TPU. If you’re looking for something to add a little extra grip to the Note 5 (which it needs), this is a nice option. You can get it in aqua blue, purple, black, and clear. [MobileFun]
The Incipio DualPro is one of our all-time favorite cases. This case is one of the first to utilize the dual-layer protection system. The first layer is a soft and flexible shock-absorbing material (which can actually be used as a case by itself). On top of that snaps a hard plastic shell with more protection. [Amazon]
If you’re looking for a more traditional leather wallet case, this one from Olixar is worth checking out. It’s made from genuine leather, can hold up to four cards, has a spot for cash, and closes with a magnetic clasp. Leave your old wallet at home and make your case do double-duty. [MobileFun]
The Obliq Slim Meta is a hard snap-on case with some style. If you ever wished Samsung would make a metal phone, this is the case for you. The back has a section of faux brushed aluminum for a premium feel. You can get it in black, metallic blue/white, silver/white, metallic blue/black, and gold/white. [MobileFun]
The most durable case on our list is the ArmourDillo from Olixar. It has an inner layer of soft TPU, and an outer layer of hard impact-resistant plastic. The raised grid pattern on the back adds extra protection while also making it feel great in your hand. It also has a handy kickstand, and comes in black, red, green, and blue. [MobileFun]
The Spigen Rigged Armor case looks a lot more rugged than it really is. It’s simply a single layer of flexible TPU, but they made it look really cool with carbon fiber textures and faux screw holes. It’s a nice way to get the rugged look without adding a lot of extra bulk. [Amazon]
The Note 5 has two great options for charging: wireless and fast. Wireless charging will charge your phone by simply placing it on a charging pad. Fast Charging can give you up to 50% charge in just 30 minutes. Here are some chargers to help you take advantage of both features.
It’s no secret that we love Incipio products. They make a lot of great high-quality accessories for Android devices, including wireless chargers. The Ghost 100 is very compact and it has an indicator LED light that displays the status. [Amazon]
Samsung’s official wireless charging pad is one of the nicest looking wireless chargers on the market. It has a round flying saucer-like design, and cool lights around the front edge. The light shines blue while charging, and green when the device is full. [MobileFun]
The charger that comes with the Galaxy Note 5 is already capable of Fast Charging. If you lose it, or want one for every room of your house, you can buy one from Amazon, or check out the alternatives below.
The Tylt Vu has long been one of the best wireless chargers on the market. While most wireless chargers are simply flat “pads,” the Vu doubles as a stand. Your phone is propped up at a 45-degree angle while charging. It’s designed so you can place your phone in any position to charge. [Amazon]
Anker is popular for making affordable tech accessories. The Quick Charger isn’t flashy, but it’s cheap and it gets the job done in a small and compact package. [Amazon]
If you’re looking to get a fast charge while in your car, the Incipio Auto Charger is your best bet. The one downside to this charger is it won’t charge quite as fast as a wall charger, but that is due to limitations with the power provided by cars. It’s still faster than a typical car charger. [Amazon]
If you feel like a case is just too much extra bulk on an already massive phone, skins are a great way to add some flair. While a skin won’t do much to protect your phone, they do provide tons of personalization without sacrificing the profile of your device.
dbrand has been making skins for phones longer than most people have had smartphones. They use high-quality materials and offer an unrivaled level of precision. For the Note 5 there are 16 colors/materials to choose from, and you can cover the front, back, and camera if you so choose. [dbrand.com]
SlickWraps is another long-time phone skin maker. They offer nearly 50 different colors, materials, and designs that you can put on your device. You can do the whole device or choose the front, back, or sides. [SlickWraps.com]
Samsung has equipped the Note 5 with Gorilla Glass 4.0 on the front (and back). Corning says Gorilla Glass 4.0 is nearly 100% scratch resistant, but some people will still worry. Screen protectors can add another layer of protection if you’re really worried.
Ringke Invisible Defender [Amazon]
Spigen Full HD [Amazon]
Skinomi TechSkin [Amazon]
Skinomi Tech Glass [Amazon]
The right car mount can make your road trips easier and safer. We like the TechMatte MagGrip because it’s super easy to use. All you have to do is put the included thin metal disk under your case (or stick it on). The MagGrip uses a magnet to hold your phone, so there’s no messing with a plastic vice grip. The whole thing slides in your CD slot. [Amazon]
We already mentioned the great Tylt Vu wireless charging stand, but it also comes in a car mount version. The awesome thing about the Vu car mount is it still wirelessly charges your phone while being mounted. Check out our full review. [Amazon]
The Note 5’s built-in speaker is not very good. If you listen to a lot of media on your phone you’re going to want a nice pair of headphones and speakers. For headphones, we like the Brainwavz Delta with mic. They’re great for all kinds of music and podcasts, come with three sizes of foam tips to match your ear size, include a mic for taking phone calls, and you can usually get them for around $20.
If you’re looking for something on the higher end, the Jaybird X2 wireless Bluetooth earbuds will do the trick. They come in a comfortable package with extra foam tips to fit in your ears. The sound is great, and since they are wireless you don’t have to worry about being tied to your phone.
To play your audio loud for everyone to hear, a Bluetooth speaker is the best option. The Inateck Marsbox can connect to any phone via Bluetooth to play your music, podcasts, and other audio. It can also be used to listen to FM radio, and it even has the ability to receive phone calls. At $60 it’s a lot cheaper than most products in this category. We like it a lot. [Amazon]
If you want a speaker that can take a beating and keep on pumping out tunes, check out the UE Roll. This speaker has a unique saucer-like design that makes it easy to strap on and take it on the go. It’s also waterproof so you can take it to the beach or on a kayaking trip. [Amazon]
Oh wait, Samsung removed the SD card slot in the Note 5. A lot of users are unhappy about this, but it doesn’t have to be a deal breaker. The answer is cloud storage. Storing all your photos and videos in the cloud can be a little scary at first, but once you embrace it there are many benefits.
There are many great cloud storage services available. The two obvious choices are Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. Both of these do a great job, and they are backed by large companies, so you know they won’t be shut down any time soon. Here are some other options if you’re not interested in Google Drive or OneDrive.
There are a nearly infinite amount of accessories available for the Note 5. We can’t possibly cover them all, but thanks to our AndroidForums community you can read more reviews from other users.
