There’s a nasty bug affecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 right now which causes your display to freeze unexpectedly. The phone will randomly freeze on your for some rather unknown reason, but thankfully a solid fix should alleviate the issues.
- Power the Galaxy Note 5 off
- While off, hold the Power, Volume Up and Home buttons simultaneously until the Android mascot appears
- A recovery menu should appear. Use the Volume Down button to highlight the option ‘Wipe Cache Partition’, and click the Power button to select it.
- Press the Power button to reboot the system.
This is being treated as a long-term fix for those who are experiencing the issue, though we’d obviously sleep better if Samsung addressed it with a software update. Be sure to keep this in mind if it ever creeps up on you one random day.
