How to fix the screen freezing glitch on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5

0

There’s a nasty bug affecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 right now which causes your display to freeze unexpectedly. The phone will randomly freeze on your for some rather unknown reason, but thankfully a solid fix should alleviate the issues.

  1. Power the Galaxy Note 5 off
  2. While off, hold the Power, Volume Up and Home buttons simultaneously until the Android mascot appears
  3. A recovery menu should appear. Use the Volume Down button to highlight the option ‘Wipe Cache Partition’, and click the Power button to select it.
  4. Press the Power button to reboot the system.

This is being treated as a long-term fix for those who are experiencing the issue, though we’d obviously sleep better if Samsung addressed it with a software update. Be sure to keep this in mind if it ever creeps up on you one random day.

You can now order the ultra-secure Blackphone 2 in the US for $799
