If you’re looking to kill sometime this week, Telltale Games is offering up one helluva deal on their adventure title “Tales from the Borderlands” on Google Play. Normally priced at $5 per episode, TFTB is removing the entry fee for the first episode, no doubt a ploy to get you hooked on the series. Like the rest of Telltale’s offerings, these “games” or more or less choose-your-own-adventure titles which are sort of light on actual gameplay, but rich in story.
Tales from the Borderlands is based on Gearbox Software’s Borderlands series and follows the events of Borderlands 2 which hit consoles back in 2012. While Episode 1: Zer0 Sum is free, the other 4 episodes can be purchase together in a season pass for $15, saving you 20%. Just keep in mind that Episode 5: The Vault of the Traveler isn’t available yet, but Telltale says they’ll have news presumably regarding its launch date tomorrow.
