LG took the thunder as the first manufacturer to begin an Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout for the LG G4, and they’re continuing with another launch in South Korea. Why is this significant? When LG begins a rollout in obscure markets like Poland, it’s typically because the market has a small amount of users and it allows them to test their rollout process and keep a handle on any critical issues before they ship the goods to the masses.
So when that update hits their home turf of South Korea, it’s generally considered good to go for a truly global rollout. Of course, knowing how OEMs and carriers work we’re not exactly sure how long it’ll take to reach other regions. Regardless, it’s comforting to know that LG is already pushing out a stable update so soon after Marshmallow’s initial arrival, and we hope other OEMs take note of all the brownie points they’re getting because of it.
