The ridiculously large Samsung Galaxy View tablet was officially announced at the end of October, but we didn’t know a lot about price or release schedule. Since then we’ve discovered the price, and now we know one place where it will be available. Starting on Friday (10/20), AT&T will be selling the Galaxy View for a couple of different prices.
Customers that sign up for a new DirecTV 24-month agreement can buy the tablet for just $99. Existing DirecTV customers can get the same deal if they activate a new line on AT&T Next. Everyone else can grab the Galaxy View for $499 with a new two-year contract, or $30 per month for 20 months.
In case you haven’t been keeping up with this device, it has a massive 18.4-inch 1080p display. This is the ultimate tablet for consuming streaming media. It’s basically like taking your flatscreen TV off the wall and carrying it around. Other specs include Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, microSD card slot, 5,700 mAh battery, 2.1MP camera, and LTE.
