Google today announced a nice initiative that’ll help raise money for special needs project, and for children who require special schooling. The company will pay $1 for each purchase made with Android Pay between now and December 31st, up to a total of $1 million. Additionally, the company will double that commitment — that’s $2 if you don’t have a calculator handy — on Black Friday.
This is a great way to incentivize the use of Android Pay, and you can feel good knowing you’re doing your part simply by carrying out your daily shopping. The campaign is being run through DonorsChoose, a foundation whose purpose is to help equip teachers and schools with the tools they need to make sure they’re successfully educating children of all types. So go ahead and download Android Pay, set your card up and step into 2015 where a tap of the phone is all you’ll need to pay for goods at any compatible PoS terminal.
