Despite looking eerily similar to a certain other smartphone, the launch of the HTC One A9 appears to have sparked an upswing for the company. Continuing with their mid-range — but still very premium feeling — line is the upcoming HTC One X9. The phone appeared in a few CAD renders over the weekend, confirming the design we originally saw when the phone passed its Chinese certification.
Today, the HTC One X9 is now getting the full photo shoot treatment in a new leak out of Chinese blog Anzhuo. The beautifully shot photos from every angle show off every single curve of the phone, exposing all the ports and a brushed aluminum unibody finish. You’ll notice the return of HTC’s trademark front facing speakers, something that was sadly absent from the One A9.
All in all, the phone is shaping up nicely with a style and look all its own (something that couldn’t be said of the A9 which some called a blatant iPhone clone). Current rumored specs for the X9 include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 processor (which could change if it arrives in other markets), 2GB or 3GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear / 4MP “UltraPixel” front facing cameras, and a 3,000mAh battery.
Not bad, HTC. Not bad at all…
