IDEAA, the group behind some of the biggest Android fan events around the globe, has announced its 2016 event schedule, including dates for the Big Android BBQ, March of the Droids, and I/O Meat and Greet. The lineup also includes several Code Kitchen events spanning the United States to provide education and insight for developers and this interested in learning more about building and designing for mobile.
The main event is the Big Android BBQ, which will take place on October 21 and 22nd of this year in Dallas, Texas. Other highlights of the schedule include:
- March of the Droids – March 18-29; Edinburgh, Scotland
- I/O Meat & Greet – May/June (to coincide with Google I/O); San Francisco, CA
- Big Android BBQ Europe – November 2016; Amsterdam, The Netherlands
In addition, IDEAA is looking for volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and more, as detailed on their landing page along with additional event dates and details.
The Big Android BBQ has grown from fledgling gathering of aficionados into one of the must-attend events of the year in the Android World. Info on registration and other specifics likely won’t be available for a little while now, but those who want in on the fun can at least start making accommodations now.
