LG has announced another new phone for Mobile World Congress. It’s the Stylus 2, another mid-range handset that comes with, well, a stylus. Its internals won’t blow you away, with important specs including a 5.7-inch 720p display, a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13MP and 8MP cameras for the rear and front, and a 3,000Ah battery.
Still, it should prove to be a solid device. The stylus itself doesn’t offer as much functionality as something like the S-Pen, but it does have detection mechanisms in its holding bay. It’ll toggle a popup menu when you remove it, for instance, so you can jump right to an appropriate app to use it in. It can also warn you when you may be moving away from the stylus.
It’ll be a little while yet before we’re let in on launch plans, but for now we’ll be looking to Mobile World Congress to get a closer look at this thing for ourselves.
