Not one to be outdone by T-Mobile — who began pushing out Marshmallow to both the LG G Stylo and HTC One M8 today — Verizon is also getting in on the Android 6.0 fun. Their Marshmallow update is now officially rolling out to the HTC One M8. Apparently the software update comes in 2 parts, with the final version of the software landing on 6.21.605.3.
The update not only brings a handful of new core Android features — things like granular app permissions, Now on Tap, and Doze standby mode — but you can expect a few extra HTC goodies added in for good measure. You can also expect the update to fix a few bugs and bring the device up-to-date on the latest security patches.
Just keep in mind that this is a staged rollout and could take some time before it’s available on your device. For more, hit up Verizon’s support page linked down below.
