LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE

LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is officially available for purchase at AT&T and Verizon

Last month we learned of both A&T and Verizon’s plans to once again offer the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE on their network, opening up pre-orders for customers to partake in. This was after the watch’s initial November launch was suddenly interrupted due to hardware issues, resulting in the device being pulled from store shelves. According to LG, this had something to do with the watch’s display. Needless to say, things got off to a pretty rocky start.

For anyone still interested in the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE but didn’t bother pre-ordering, it’s now officially available for purchase from both AT&T and Verizon (let’s hope it stays that way). The watch is one of the first Android Wear smartwatches that offers its own cellular connection independently of your smartphone, but still uses your same phone number. With a built-in speaker, you can make/receive calls on the watch itself whether your smartphone is around or not, making the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE the perfect workout companion.

Where things get really weird is in the pricing. AT&T is offering the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE $360 straight up ($200 with 2-year contract) + $45 activation fee, while Verizon offers the exact same model for $500 full retail ($450 with 2-year contract) + $40 activation fee and $5 a month service fee.
