Lincoln joins the Open Automotive Alliance, Android Auto coming to more cars

The Lincoln Motor Company introduces the all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC small premium utility vehicle, the second of four all-new Lincoln vehicles to fuel the brand’s reinvention.

A new car manufacturer has joined the Open Automative Alliance. Lincoln is the latest to become an Android Auto partner. The 2017 Lincoln MKC will include Android Auto when it launches later this year. Lincoln appears to be the 20th manufacturer to support Android Auto.

The 2017 MKC is marketed primarily towards woman as it’s a smaller SUV. The car starts at $30,000, which is only slightly less than the Tesla Model 3. I’ll let you make that decision. Lincoln previously announced that the 2017 Continental will also support Android Auto, but there’s no word on when that will arrive. Do you have a vehicle with Android Auto?
