Google removes Motorola’s Moto 360 Sport from the Google store

0

Looks like Google is in the spirit of Spring cleaning. After removing HTC’s Nexus 9 from the online shelves yesterday, another device has bitten the dust. The Motorola Moto 360 Sport has been removed from Google’s online stores with no rhyme or reason as to why.

The watch is still available from Best Buy and Amazon, and has been seeing some pretty steep price discounts. Currently, the White and Flame versions of the Moto 360 Sport are down to $199 at Best Buy and Amazon, while the Black variant is still full-priced through Best Buy. Amazon has the black version down to around $220 with free Prime shipping if you want to jump on the train before inventory is depleted.

Although the Moto 360 Sport was met with mixed reactions, it’s a bit surprising that Google has just gone ahead and removed it completely from its website. It’s especially strange when you consider the fact that the smartwatch was just released in January of this year.

You can still check out the Moto 360 Sport page for information on the device, you just won’t be able to purchase the device from Google. If these price drops are enticing you to enter the world of Android Wear, check out Joe’s full review here at Phandroid.
