Epic Games kind of spilled the beans on their own, but the news was made official today. Unreal Engine will support Daydream VR — Google’s big new VR platform — when it launches later this fall. Unity, perhaps the biggest mobile-centric game development platform — will also join in on the fun.
This news will delight users and developers alike. For developers, it means they get a familiar set of tools with which to build their VR games. This makes development faster and easier. For users? They benefit directly from that ease and brevity — they get their games faster, the games will look good, and, most importantly, the games will be fun.
