It looks like Lenovo/Motorola may be in some hot water again. A user has posted images of the Settings panel of their Motorola Moto G4 Plus, showing that the device only includes 2GB of RAM although the user purchased the variant with 3GB of RAM.
Last week, Lenovo and Motorola unveiled three new Moto G devices, and opened them up for purchase in India. The devices came in different combinations with the G4 Plus featuring the following combos:
- 2GB of RAM/16GB of storage
- 3GB of RAM/32GB of storage
- 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage
This is where the unlucky user fell victim to what appears to be a manufacturing hiccup. Instead of receiving 3GB of RAM with the 32GB of storage that was advertised, the device that was received only included 2GB of RAM.
In natural WTF fashion, the device still includes 32GB of storage, meaning that someone, somewhere screwed up in the process and only put 2GB of RAM in a device meant to have 3GB.
We’ll see if Motorola and Lenovo can fix this for this unlucky user, but be mindful to double check your device if you happen to order one.
