HTC hasn’t been against bringing their apps to those who don’t buy their phones, and they might be readying to bring their biggest yet. The company is sending out invites for folks to test Sense Home on non-HTC devices.
The invite doesn’t tell us much, but it does warn you’ll need to be on Android 4.4 or higher on, well, a non-HTC Android phone. We’re not sure how one would qualify for the test or how HTC is selecting participants. We also don’t know when to expect its launch.
HTC’s Sense Home was updated for the HTC 10 with some pretty neat features. The company implemented “stickers” which let you use pictures as icons for launching certain apps or actions. They also implemented a “freeform” UI so you can layer icons and widgets however you please.
