LG V20 will be announced with Android Nougat, but Nexus devices will ship first

The LG V20 is expected to be the first phone announced with Android 7.0 Nougat, but it won’t be the first phone you can buy with Google’s latest offering. The V20 will be announced on September 6th, but it’s not expected to launch until a while later. The new Nexus Sailfish and Marlin phones will be announced and launched before the V20 is released.

This information comes from the Twitter feed of David Ruddock. He says “LG V20 may be the first phone in the world to ship with Nougat. But Nexuses will almost definitely be first widely available.” LG is trying to be the first on the Nougat bandwagon, but they will be beaten when it comes to actual hardware in the hands of consumers.
