It seems that Amazon is looking to expand its Echo lineup of devices with a new Amazon Echo Dot. The company released the first edition back in March, priced at $89.99, but a tweet from the Amazon Echo Twitter account (which was subsequently deleted) suggests that there will be a new Echo Dot coming for $40 cheaper than the current model.
The tweet stated:
@amazonecho: Introducing the all-new Echo Dot. Add Alexa to any room – now for just $49.99. amzn.to/2cEpsb1
The Echo Dot has been sold out for quite some time, and for good reason as it’s just another great product in the Amazon Echo lineup. Being able to to use the Echo Dot as a Bluetooth speaker with the ability to use voice commands, the Echo Dot is perfect for anyone not looking to spend an arm and a leg for the top of the line models.
We have no clue as to when Amazon will be unveiling this new Echo Dot, but since this tweet was sent, we can assume it will be in just a few days. When this becomes available, are you going to jump on the Echo hype train and snag one? Let us know in the comment below.
