Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could face a second recall
If the Federal Aviation Administration and Consumer Product Safety Commission find that the Samsung device which went up in flames on a Southwest Airlines plane was, in fact, a replaced Galaxy Note 7, Samsung may need to issue a second recall for the phone. According to a Bloomberg report, this sentiment is shared by two former U.S. safety officials.
“If it’s the fixed phone and it started to smoke in his pocket, I’m going to guess there’ll be another recall.”

The Louisville Metro Arson Squad is currently in possession of the device, working with Samsung, FAA and Consumer Product Safety Commission representatives to determine the cause of the explosion and if it is a replacement Note 7 as the phone’s owner claims.
Samsung’s Q3 financial report doesn’t show that the Note 7 recall has a huge effect on the company’s earning, but we can imagine things could take a turn for the worse if a second recall for the Note 7 is issued.
