The Googe Store is lighting up with new products today now that the Pixel and Pixel XL are onto trucks and on their way to doorsteps everywhere. You can now buy the Chromecast Ultra and Daydream View from the online storefront.
The Daydream View is a $79 Daydream headset with a very unique look. Google dressed it up in extremely comfortable cloth and included a mechanism which makes it easy to adjust to almost any smartphone you want to use it with. Of course, if you want the full experience you’re going to need a Daydream-ready phone like the Pixel, Pixel XL, or ZTE Axon 7.
Meanwhile, the Chromecast Ultra is a new option for those with 4K / HDR television sets. It’s got the hardware necessary to push videos at that extremely high resolution without any issues, as well as the wireless networking chops to support that video’s datastream. It even has its own ethernet port if wireless just doesn’t cut it for you. This privilege does come with the added cost of $69 over the usual $35 the regular model goes for, so this one’s for you only if you need 4K.
Unfortunately, ordering 1 today doesn’t get you one on your doorstep too soon. As Google had mentioned when they announced the products, they won’t be available until November. The Google store is showing up to 3 weeks of waiting time as of the time of this writing for both of them, but if you don’t mind the wait and simply want to get your order in as soon as possible then be sure to head over there to put your details in.
