The HTC Bolt might not be the hot new HTC device that’s going to change the game, but it’s a nice stop-gap device for HTC as we look toward more exciting 2017 offerings. It launched on Sprint this past week, but what about those in other parts of the world?
HTC looks to be prepping the device for a November 22nd international debut as the HTC 10 Evo (a name we’ve heard before), with an unveiling event set to take place that day. It should be the same device as Sprint’s, only perhaps without fine-tuned support for the network improvements which make it Sprint’s fastest phone for data ever.
Beyond that, the device is pretty solid under the hood if you’re just looking for a capable smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 16MP and 8MP cameras on the rear and front, and even launches with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
This does also ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of a USB-C setup, though, so keep that in mind. Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are the targets for expansion, so stay tuned if that’s in your neighborhood.
