Google has been taking awhile in its rollout of the Google Play Store onto Chromebooks. The first Chromebooks saw the update shortly after the official announcement at Google I/O 2016, but more and more devices have been gaining support.
Recently, Google has pushed an update to the developer channel for Chrome OS which adds Play Store support for a couple of more Chromebooks. These include the following:
- Dell Chromebook 13
- HP 13
- Samsung Chromebook 3
- ASUS C301SA
Considering that getting the Play Store on your Chromebook requires you to use the developer channel, it’s important to remember there may be bugs and not every application will work flawlessly. So be sure to backup all of your pertinent information in the case of needing to reset your Chromebook back to the Stable channel.
