Before Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 7, there were some leaks which showed a new version of TouchWiz that was going to be implemented. This new UI was named “Grace UX” and extremely slimmed down the look of TouchWiz on Samsung devices. The new UI also included new customization options as well as a flatter look across the device.
Owners of other Samsung devices have been wondering when Grace UX would be rolled out to their devices, if ever. Now, Samsung has started pushing an update to owners of the Galaxy Note 5 in South Korea.
Besides including a new interface, the new Grace UX update includes new features such as “Wide Selfie, Ultra Power Saving Mode, Smart Manager, Blue Light Filter, and Game Tools.” These are many features that were included to entice potential buyers to the Galaxy Note 7 but are now being made available on the Galaxy Note 5.
More than likely, this is just the initial rollout as Samsung will probably begin pushing the Grace UX update to owners of the device in other countries. However, since this is the initial rollout, it’s unknown as to when Samsung will begin doing so.
