Apex Launcher may be a name that you haven’t heard of in some time, but that’s because the development was essentially abandoned. However, there’s good news for the fans of the popular launcher as it will be coming back to the Play Store.
In a Medium blog post, it was detailed that there is a new development team in place, and there will be a new update released in May. The last time Apex was updated was in June of 2015, so it’s almost been 2 years, but instead of launching an all-new version, the current application will be updated.
The team claims that the new Apex Launcher will support Android 7.0 Nougat and “beyond”, so we’re getting pretty excited to see what’s in the works. The developers have also opened its “UserVoice” page, which allows you to request and vote on new features to be added.
Let us know what you think about this update and if you’ll be giving Apex a shot once it’s re-launched on the Play Store. Oh, and if you want to keep up with what’s to come, you can follow Apex Launcher’s Medium Blog, Facebook page, or Twitter.
