HTC has announced an announcement for May 16th. The flyer includes a U logo and the tagline “squeeze for the brilliant U.” This lines up with the recent rumors that the HTC U would have pressure sensitive edges. The event/live stream is scheduled for May 16th at 2am Eastern Time, 2pm in Taipei.
We don’t know a ton about the HTC U, but we do have a few rumored specs. It could have a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 display, Snapdragon 835, 12MP camera, 16MP front camera, and Android 7.1 Nougat. It should also have the same super high-gloss finish as the HTC U Ultra. The squeeze feature should be very interesting. We’ll know more soon.
