Over the last few weeks, we have been seeing and hearing rumors regarding a new Amazon Echo product to be announced before the end of the month. Well, Amazon did just that as it introduced the new Amazon Echo Show.

The Echo Show features an all-new design, moving away from the cylindrical design that was found on the original Amazon Echo. The Echo Show includes a 7-inch display, with a 5MP camera above, and a rather large speaker below.
As is the case with other Echo devices, the Echo Show is capable of playing back music from your favorite streaming services which include the following:
- Amazon Music
- Pandora
- Spotify
- TuneIn Radio
- iHeartRadio
However, further software implementations have been made which will allow you to view lyrics for your favorite songs on Amazon Music. Once your song is selected, your music will play until your heart’s content through the Dolby-powered speakers.
Included across the top of the Echo Show are 8 different noise-cancelling microphones. This will help Alexa respond to your every request, even if you’re playing music or watching YouTube videos. Oh, and yeah. You can watch YouTube videos from the Echo Show as well, with a simple command.
Many of the same features that you have come to know and love with the Amazon Echo lineup are returning to the Echo Show. This includes the ability to control all of your compatible smart home products with just your voice.
Finally, one of the biggest additions to the Echo Show is the ability to make phone calls between Alexa-enabled devices. This includes other Echo devices, along with smartphones if the Alexa application is installed.
The Amazon Echo Show comes in either White or Black and is available for pre-order starting today for $229. Amazon states that the Echo Show will officially launch on June 28th, and will naturally come with free two-day shipping through Amazon Prime. If you’re looking to pick up more than one Echo Show, Amazon is offering a discount of $100 when purchasing 2 or more devices using the coupon code “SHOW2PACK“.
Let us know in the comments below whether you plan to pick up the Echo Show for yourself, or if you’ll be holding onto your current smart home assistant.
