Google I/O 2017 came and went and by many accounts, was an exciting event. We learned more about Google’s plans for Google Home and Google Assistant, while also learning a bit more about Android O (even if we didn’t learn the actual name).
To celebrate, the official Android YouTube page has published a new video showing off the highlights of what was announced at I/O, including the fact that there are now 2 billion users. Additionally, the video takes through a quick rundown of some of the most important new features coming to Android O later this Summer.
Additionally, the video shows us the newly-announced Google Play Protect, which aims to help combat malware from being made available on the Play Store. The final highlight gives us a glimpse at Android Go, as Google looks to put Android in the hands of even more users, even those who can’t get access to flagship devices.
