Back at MWC 2017, Sony announced a few new devices, including its latest flagship, the Xperia XZ Premium. However, Sony was fairly quiet when it came to sharing pricing and availability for the device – until today.
Sony has confirmed that the Xperia XZ Premium will go up for pre-order on June 12th from Best Buy and Amazon, and then will officially launch on June 19th in the US. This is also the date that retailers will begin carrying the Xperia XZ Premium.
As for what the device will bring to the market, we’ll be looking at a 5.5-inch 4K display, while being powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. The XZ Premium will also include a 3,230mAh battery while being IP68 water and dust resistant.
However, these premium specs won’t come without a price, as the XZ Premium is priced at $799. Considering the fact that we’re wondering if Essential is doing the right thing with a device priced at $699, the XZ Premium is priced even higher.
But if you’re a fan of what Sony has been doing with its Xperia lineup, then you can register via Sony’s website to be notified when the Xperia XZ Premium officially goes on sale.
