Early OnePlus 5 rumors have said to expect dual cameras on the device, a point that was in contention after some device prototypes appeared without such hardware. But it looks like those early prototype was pretty darn early, because even OnePlus may be alluding to dual sensor goodness.
The company’s source code for their launch page is said to have contained code which teased some of its features. One of those features was a “dual camera” alongside word that it can take “clearer photos.”
That source code doesn’t appear to be intact as of this writing, but one outlet reminds us that those very same words were present on leaked retail packaging for the phone. Between the site’s source code and a reputable leak that shows it in all its glory, we’re all but certain now that it’ll have dual cameras.
The OnePlus 5’s camera is being certified and reviewed by DxOMark, so the company certainly does want to make sure they improve in that area in order to further (or, perhaps, finally live up to) their reputation as the “flagship killer.” June 20th is the day we learn more.
