Personal assistant home speakers are the hottest new tech trend. Everyone has to have one now. Amazon kicked things off with the Echo, which was then followed by Google Home and Apple HomePod. The key to these devices is the assistant. Amazon has Alexa, Google has Assistant, and Apple has Siri. Samsung has an assistant now, too. So why not put it in a speaker?
Samsung is rumored to be working on a speaker for Bixby, which still doesn’t do much on phones. We don’t know anything about it other than Samsung has been granted patents for a standalone audio device. It would make a lot of sense for Samsung to be thinking about new ways to expand Bixby. They should start with making it available on phones.
