Last month, Motorola announced the Moto Z2 Force, the company’s 2017 flagship, but also introduced a few new Moto Mods to the mix. The first of which is a new 360-degree camera Mod, which simply snaps onto the back and gives you an alternative to taking regular ole’ pictures. The second new Mod was the Moto Gamepad Moto Mod.
This Moto Mod aims to put you in the driver seat for many of your favorite mobile games, offering a true console-like experience while you’re on the go. The Gamepad features dual thumb-sticks for navigation, a traditional D-pad, and your action, much like regular gaming controllers found today.
In addition to offering a mobile gaming experience on steroids, the Gamepad also features an integrated 1,035mAh battery. This will provide you an extra 8 hours of gameplay before you’ll need to take a break from the action.
When the Gamepad Mod was announced, there was no information regarding pricing or availability, but now we know that the Mod is priced at just $80. This is the same price as the new JBL SoundBoost 2 and Moto TurboPower Pack Mod, so you aren’t being forced to spend an extravagant amount just to game on the go.
Now, while the Moto Gamepad is a Verizon-exclusive, you don’t have to be a Verizon subscriber to pick one of these up for yourself. So if you want to snag a Gamepad for your Z2 Force, you can hit the button below to pre-order one, with shipping to commence on August 25th.
