Back at the onset of IFA 2017, Motorola brought back the Moto X lineup with the Moto X4. The device is nestled in the mid-range market and will be coming to the European market this Fall. However, Motorola was rather quiet when it came to questions regarding a US launch, and we now may have an idea as to why this was the case.

Over the weekend, @evleaks tweeted an image of the Moto X4 with some subtle “Android One” branding engraved on the rear of the device. This led to much speculation whether the X4 would be the first Android One device to launch in the US. Earlier this year, a report claimed that Google was aiming to bring its Android One lineup of devices to the US market for the first time, but the rumors have since quieted and we haven’t heard much since then.
As a quick refresh, the Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch FHD display, while being powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC and 3GB of RAM. The device also features 32GB of base storage and comes equipped with dual rear cameras with an 8MP sensor and a 12MP sensor. Motorola stated that the device would be priced at €399 (~478) in Europe, but we’re still unsure whether this pricing will reflect once the device launches here in the States.
