Gmail now detects addresses, phone numbers, and creates hyperlinks to save time

0

Gmail is easily one of the most important services offered by Google. With so many people using Gmail every single day, any improvements — no matter how small — are always welcomed.

Google announced some new changes headed to Gmail in a new blog post, with auto-linking to addresses and phone numbers. Google now detects addresses, email addresses, and phone number inside Gmail, turning them into links you can tap and open with the appropriate app. The new feature will work on both Gmail on the web and inside Android and iOS apps as well.

It may not sound like a huge deal, but the time it will save you overtime is invaluable. The update is already rolling out inside of Gmail, with Google saying it could be 1-3 days before everyone sees it. So just sit tight until then.
