Samsung is now rolling out its fourth Android 8.0 Oreo beta for the Galaxy S8. This release comes with a long list of bug fixes preparing the software for its public debut. It appears to be reaching handsets in the United Kingdom first before expanding its reach to other markets.
It looks like Samsung is done making big changes to its Oreo update; its most recent betas have focused on making the software more stable ahead of a wider rollout. The fourth beta fixes issues that caused excessive battery life consumption, sync errors with Samsung Cloud, and random vibrations.
It also applies Google’s latest security patch and quashes a whole host of other pesky bugs. If you’ve been running previous betas, you should notice big improvements in stability and performance.
Samsung is yet to confirm when Oreo will make its public debut. Recent rumors have indicated the release could come as early as this month, though others warn we could be waiting until February. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it drops.
