The OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T were both pretty great alternatives to flagship devices from major manufacturers in 2017, but a new rumor suggests we could be getting a peek at the OnePlus 6 ahead of the company’s usual schedule.
According to a source speaking to GizmoChina, the OnePlus 6 could arrive as early as March 2018. The phone is expected to be announced in the middle of the month, while becoming available to purchase toward the end of March. The source also reveals that the OnePlus 6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, but that’s not too surprising given that recent generations of OnePlus phones have featured the latest and greatest processors at the time of release.
The only other interesting thing mentioned by the source is that OnePlus seems to be ready to go all-in on an under glass fingerprint scanner, which would rival rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S9 doing the same thing. The OnePlus 5T was the first OnePlus phone to feature a rear fingerprint scanner and it could be the last if this rumor proves to be true.
