We’ve seen a lot of new Wear OS smartwatches come to market over the past few months, but few of them have featured the new Wear 3100 chip from Qualcomm. Today, Fossil has unveiled one of its best smartwatches to date – the Fossil Sport Watch, featuring the new Wear 3100 chip, integrated heart rate sensor, NFC for wireless payments, and GPS to keep track of your runs. The best part is that the Fossil Watch Sport only costs $255, significantly less than other Wear OS devices running the new Wear 3100 chip.
Unlike other Fossil smartwatches, the Sport Watch has a playful design and is available in bright colors to match your style. The Fossil Watch Sport will be available in 41 and 43 mm sizes with respective 18mm and 22mm bands, giving users thousands of options when it comes to customizing the band for their smartwatch, including 28 new silicone watch straps in Fossil’s lineup. The body of the smartwatch features a nylon and aluminum case, making it lighter than Fossil’s other smartwatches. It also features three buttons on the side which allow you to interact with the device in a more tactile way.
Coupled with the Wear 3100 chip is a 350 mAh battery. Fossil is only promising 24 hours of battery life, but we expect the device will last a bit longer on days that you’re not tracking a workout. The Fossil Sport Watch can be purchased directly from Fossil’s website starting today and will show up in Fossil stores across the globe on November 12th.
