The Nubia Red Magic Mars smartphone, force to be reckoned with

0

There is some debate as to whether or not gaming smartphones are necessary or just a novelty. After all, the majority of flagship smartphones are already very powerful devices, and save for some differences in cooling systems used, what really separates a gaming smartphone from a flagship?

Nubia is certainly hoping that they have the answer as the company has announced their own take on a gaming handset in the form of the Red Magic Mars. Inspired by Mars, the god of war, the handset will come with features such as “Red Magic Game Space” which will help improve performance during gaming by minimizing background apps, and also by adding 4D sound and vibration effects.

There are also built-in touch-sensitive shoulder buttons that will add extra controls without users having to purchase extra controllers from third-party accessory makers. These controls are also customizable and users can configure them to their own needs depending on the game that they are playing.

As for the other specs of the Nubia Red Magic Mars, we’re looking at the use of 2018’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phone will also be available in two configurations: a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and a 10GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. There will also be a 6.2-inch FHD+ display and a 3,800mah battery.

The phone is expected to be released in North America and Europe on the 31st of January, 2019 where it will be priced starting at $399. While the styling of the phone may not be for everyone, the device does offer incredible value, making it a better buy than the OnePlus 6T and on the same level as the Pocophone F1.
