Samsung’s Galaxy S-series of flagship smartphones has been a staple in the smartphone industry for the past decade or so. It is what some might call a “comfortable” device in which we know what to expect, and for the most part Samsung usually delivers: nothing more, nothing less.
That might not necessarily be a good thing, though, as it means that the phone might not be as exciting as what some of its competitors which runs the risk of disappointing customers, but Samsung mobile CEO Koh Dong-jin doesn’t seem to think so. In fact he thinks that the phone could live up to the expectations of what customers have of Samsung. Speaking to The Investor, Koh was quoted as saying:
“I will try my best to meet the expectations of consumers who have been waiting for our products.”
Samsung will be officially unveiling the Galaxy S10 at an event scheduled for the 20th of February, 2019, a few days ahead of MWC 2019. So far the rumors are claiming that the phone will come in three variants: a budget version with a flat screen, the regular version, and the plus version.
They are also rumored to sport a new design where Samsung will opt for a hole-in display instead of a notch. Some models are also rumored to pack a triple camera setup on the back, and there will also be the inclusion of an in-display fingerprint sensor, a feature that has been rumored for a while now and could finally be making its debut on Samsung’s phones.
